Summary

This document is intended to provide insights on capabilities of the Empuls for gamification of various activities of employee engagement. We explore the current capabilities of the Empuls leaderboard and upcoming improvements, use-cases on how organizations can use leaderboards to gamification and a few success stories of its usage.

About the Leaderboard

Leaderboard is a ranked list of employees based on the scores accumulated by doing a predefined list of activities over a defined period of time.

The platform administrator gets to define

• Who can be part of the gamification event.
• What are the list of activities the users are required to do: These activities can be a user action that is done on Empuls like nominating a colleague for an award, greeting someone on their birthday or work anniversary, etc Or the actions that are done outside the Empuls platform like completing a learning module, coming to office on time, or a penalization for some negative action like working late at the office, not completing a review on time, etc.
• What is the duration of a game: The game can be a one time thing or a recur every month, quarter or a year.
• Who will be declared as winner and what are the associated rewards: The game can be a competition where only the Top 3 or 5 participants will be rewarded or the game can be set as a challenge where the participants complete certain milestones to win an associated reward.
