Redesigning Total Wrist Arthroplasty
- Present
Used four-dimensional computed tomography to analyze wrist bone motion in living participants to investigate the difference between bone motion in healthy and injured populations. Used this knowledge to inform the design of a wrist implant, which is currently being tested in cadaveric specimens to determine the effect of wrist implants on wrist loads and biomechanics.

Capstone Ankle Foot Orthotic
- Present
Designed an ankle foot orthotic based on provisional patent from client to be integrated into future manufacturing strategy.
-
Wearable Finger Force Sensors
-
Designed wearable sensors to be worn on the fingernails for use in clinical diagnostic applications, specifically examining osteoarthritis, and during golf swings to inform the design of golf grips for individuals with arthritis. Sensors measured the strain in the fingernails, which could be converted to force for a more comprehensive measurement. Worked in conjunction with Western University and Lawson Health Research Institute.
