We're back, and back with a bang. I think it's safe to say that Beacons creators came storming into the holiday season. That's the only conclusion I can draw when the chart of total revenue generated by sellers on Beacons looks like this on Black Friday, November 29. |
You guys crushed it. But let's not mince words. Here's how sales on Beacons looked on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, by the numbers: - Spending on Beacons products on Black Friday was 275% (almost 4x) more than average Friday spend in October, and up 111% (2x) compared to Fridays in November.
-
In general, weekly sales revenue for Beacons users grew 76% from November to October.
- The sales revenue for the week around Black Friday was 2.4x greater than the average weekly sales revenue for October.
- Average weekly sales revenue was also up 1.6x compared to first 3 weeks in November.
Great job, guys! 🤭 |
But the holiday shopping season is far from over. It's just beginning.
And that means you can learn from these stellar Black Friday sales and drive this success for yourself throughout this holiday season.
After looking at the top sellers and their tactics, here are the main takeaways that you can implement with your products today to replicate this success:
-
Create a discount. There's a reason that Black Friday is synonymous with discounts. They drive urgency and give buyers a reason to follow through on their checkout. Learn how to do it on Beacons here.
-
Create content about your discount. If you build it, they will not come. You have to tell them. Do that by creating content on your biggest platform—since you're a creator, you already have a strong distribution channel ready at your disposal.
-
Enable payment plans. Whether you choose to offer buyers the option to checkout with Klarna, Affirm, or Beacons's native payment splitting, payment plans give buyers more options and drive sales (especially for higher priced items). Learn how to do it on Beacons here.
-
Send your subscribers an email about your products. Your subscribers are already your most engaged audience—after all, they opted in to receive emails from you! Create an email simply by dropping your product link into the Beacons AI Email Generator and let us generate a promo email that you can send in seconds.

Oh, and did you catch what I said in tip #3? That's right... |

Beacons payment plans are HERE!
Due to high demand, Beacons now has an integrated payment plan feature! That means as a seller on Beacons, you can give your buyers options to pay in installments without signing up for a third-party service like Klarna, Afterpay, or Affirm.
You can enable this option in your product editor: click on the price to open the different pricing options, and toggle "on" the payment plans.
This is what your customer will see when they checkout: |
So, what's the difference between Beacons payment plans and those third-party services?
Beacons payment plans allow your customers to split the cost of your product into multiple payments, but there’s a risk that future payments might fail (because the customer is being charged in those smaller installments). You get paid for each installment when you buyer pays that installment.
Meanwhile, guaranteed payment plans through Klarna, Affirm or Afterpay allow you to collect the full amount of your sale revenue up front, even though your buyer is paying over time. You can enable these guaranteed directly from your Store Settings.
Oh, and one other cool thing we added is the option to make the "pay-over-time" price higher than the one-time payment price. That gives you the choice to offset some of the inevitable risk of offering a payment plan.
The bottom line is: more options for YOU to give more options for your BUYERS to drive more SALES!
This is another example of you asking and us answering! 🫶 We're always working on more ways to help you drive sales. Giving your buyers more options is just the latest!

This isn’t so much a hot take as a sappy one, but what can I say? It's that time of year.
Beacons wouldn’t be as good of a product without YOU, our users.
Our team is talented and hardworking, but we can’t create brilliance in a vacuum where there’s no response or engagement from the people actually putting Beacons to work for themselves every single day.
From the posts you comment on: |
To the emails you send our team: |
To the Zoom calls you hop on in your own free time: |
These are the interactions that make Beacons as good as it is today. So thank you for being a user, for sharing your honest feedback with us, and for helping us grow this year.
I'm so excited for what we're going to do together in 2025! You rock, don't ever change. |
While we're on the subject of Beacons users...
Remember when I mentioned that our CEO Neal has been making a splash on Threads lately? This past week, he got the whole team involved in hustling out a quick improvement to our sales notifications emails, based on feedback from a Beacons user. |
Melinda, you were so right. It doesn’t make sense to start a sentence with “you made a sale!” only to finish with “…for zero dollars.” |
This is the perfect example of what I mean when I say that Beacons wouldn’t be where we are today without our users. You help inspire us in just the right moments to make quick changes that really matter. (And still make our flights 😅) |
Of course, we still have a ways to go in making all of the improvements you guys are asking for. Just after this fix rolled out, we spotted a few more of your requests on Threads: |
Neal's answer gives a peek behind the scenes at how we decide what to work on internally.
Sometimes, things that aren’t technically as important also aren’t technically as challenging for our team, so we’re able to deliver on these small wins faster, while the big things take time and need more thorough planning in order for us to do it well for you.
Rest assured, more improvements ARE coming through the end of the year and into 2025, and we’re excited to make Beacons the best it can be, together. 🥹 |

P.S. I've been seeing so many well executed holiday collabs on my FYP so far this holiday season (like this one from my favorite cat influencer, Juni). Which creators have you seen do it especially well? Send them to me here and I'll share them next week so we can all get inspo! |
