But it's not just me—no one is safe from Neal thread-ing (?) at them. Not our engineers in all-hands, not some unsuspecting restaurant we went to last week, and not even his own brother. |
What I'm saying is: if you want the real, unfiltered thoughts of our CEO, go follow him on Threads. And if he @s you, you may be entitled to compensation. (Totally kidding. But he'd actually probably love for you to tag him in any Beacons feedback you have.)
Besides, I might get called out again for this, so follow Neal to keep up. |
Speaking of feedback, I got SO many replies last week about your dream brands. It made me super grateful for everyone who reads this newsletter and cares enough to hit reply. We're all building something together, and being able to have a two-way conversation means a lot to me.
So feel free to keep sending me feedback about how much you love this newsletter, every day, at all hours of the day. Seriously, I don't mind at all.
I have something else I think you're going to love. It's our newest feature on Beacons that's live TODAY, and it's going to be especially useful for anyone who sells coaching sessions and appointments. 🤩 |
|
|
☎️ Calling all coaches and experts: you can now sell and book appointments on Beacons with Zoom! Lots of coaches were asking for this one, so we made it happen. Our new Zoom integration is live, so you can easily add a Zoom link to any appointment you sell on Beacons. (You also still have the option to add a Google Meet link, if that's more your style.) Just select the option "Zoom" for the Meeting link. Once you connect Zoom, you'll be able to add Zoom links for any of your appointments on Beacons!
|
If you're looking for a sign to start doing 1:1 coaching, booking appointments, and monetizing your valuable time and expertise, this is it!
The bottom line is that this new integration gives you more options to run YOUR appointments YOUR way, ultimately leading to more opportunities to make money. This is another example of you asking and us answering! 🫶 We're always working on more ways to help you drive sales. Giving you more options is just the latest! |

👉 Have you set up any appointments yet? Reply here and send me the link to your appointment, and I'll share it next week! |

Last week’s hot take was all about how to make the most of the final few weeks of 2024 instead of sleeping on them and leaving your most important to-do’s until January.
We love to move fast and get things done here at Beacons (if our latest stack of feature launches is any indication 🤑) but I’m here to somewhat contradict myself and remind you that it’s also okay to slow down sometimes.
|
The best creative ideas need space to come to you. They can’t always be commanded on a timeline. It’s also ok to use this time at the end of the year for reflection on growth, and to ideate on new directions. Daydreaming is underrated!
Great ideas don’t happen in a vacuum, either. Sometimes creative inspiration, solutions to challenges, and new visions are most likely to strike after you share your thoughts with someone else and get their take on it.
For example: my teammate Isabel told me this week that she was working through a few different projects that she was stuck on: -
Figuring out how to work with more creators who reach out to us about partnering
- Building out next steps for Beacons Ambassadors
- Trying to closely source feedback from multiple creator communities
- Providing more comprehensive educational materials about Beacons
She was looking at all of these individually, and they seemed totally unrelated. But then she got a message from one of you with a new idea for Beacons that made her realize there’s actually ONE solution that addresses all of these projects. |
That's how the idea for a Beacons "certified mentor" program was born. It’s going to be a while before we can get this off the ground (think mid 2025) but if you have any ideas for cute program names in the meantime, lmk!
So in the spirit of that community creativity, hit reply to let me know what problems you’re trying to solve these days, and I’ll see if I can help! |
Neal and I aren't the only Beacons team members hanging out on Threads these days. Isabel was one of the earliest adopters of Threads on our team, and she was able to get a lot of feedback about updates you wanted just by following along with discussions there. And recently one of our senior product designers, Mica, spotted a post from a Beacons creator on Threads recently mentioning how frustrating and confusing it was not to get push notifications on ALL sales. |
Mica realized this was a great point and brought it to the engineering team right away. Within 2 days, they’d made the update. 💪
Now you’ll never have to wonder why you receive some notifications and not others, worry if it’s broken, or make sales without realizing it! Threads is quickly becoming a space where we have the opportunity to really listen to our community and act quickly to make the improvements that matter most for your daily experience of using Beacons.
I know you have some great ideas, so head over to Threads and comment or tag us (@beacons.ai) with the 1 feature we’re currently missing that would make the biggest difference to you. We just might build YOUR idea next! 🫶

P.S. Should we collab with YouTube to do this? 👀 |
YouTube, if you're reading this, you know where to find us (on Threads). |
