Oh, we are so back. Happy Friday, and welcome to our new Beacons newsletter: Get Rich or Reply Trying.
This is the community we’re carving out for the most ambitious creators on Beacons. It’s a weekly playbook on how to use Beacons to get rich (or reply trying). I’ll share the latest feature launches on Beacons and how to use them 🚀, hot takes of the week 🔥, and a peek behind the curtain 👀 at what goes on day to day on the Beacons team.
I’m sharing it all because the whole point of Beacons is to help you get rich and build a successful creator business, and this info will help you do that.
Side note: Who are you and where is Jesse?
By now you may be used to getting emails from “Jesse at Beacons” in your inbox. Jesse is the Chief Product Officer at Beacons, and one of the Beacons cofounders. |

As you may have guessed, I am not Jesse. He is busy building the Beacons product you know and love. |
My name is Kaitlin and I’m the Head of Marketing at Beacons. I live in NYC and generally I spend my days thinking about how to tell more creators about Beacons, and how to help those creators on Beacons to make more money. |
Sometimes I also cook on TikTok, but that’s still a work in progress.
I’m aware that not everyone wants another newsletter in their inbox. The reason I decided to start this one is because I genuinely believe there’s a lot of great knowledge floating around the Beacons team about how to make more money as a creator. Our team talks to creators and builds products for creators every day, so we’re constantly hearing what works and building features to help you do those things.
We’ll share what we’re launching, what we’re thinking of building, and sometimes I’ll ask for feedback. I’d love to share what you’re working on, or ideas you have, so feel free to reply to me directly here with what you’re trying out and I’ll share with the community in this newsletter.
That said, if you don’t want to receive this newsletter, no hard feelings. You can unsubscribe or manage your preferences here (or at any time at the bottom of these newsletters).
Feeling inspired?
Oh and hey… if you want to start sending emails, too, you can do that on Beacons. Most creators on Beacons use email marketing to promote products, links, shows, content, book appointments, and sell tickets. If you haven’t yet, check it out.
I’d love to hear what you want to see going forward. Reply and let me know, and I’ll see you next week! 🫶 Now, on to the newsletter. |

This week we’re introducing a highly requested feature: native payment plans for your products! This is an easy way to get recurring revenue and offer exclusive content to your top fans for a pre-set number of weeks, months, or years. |
You can do a ton of things with native payment plans: offer "buy now, pay later" for high ticket items with the limits of bank-backed programs - created a "limited-term" membership
offer access to a private community offer exclusive newsletters offer coaching
offer extra content or behind-the-scenes content
As your own community of fans and followers grows, this gives you a super scalable way to monetize all of the extra work you’re doing and build a stronger relationship with your top fans.
💥 Now on Beacons, you can add a limit to how long a membership can last—whether that is weeks, months or years. Total flexibility to create a payment plan and membership on YOUR terms.
Add your own to your link in bio today here, or watch this step-by-step setup tutorial from Ivan here.
My favorite example that I've seen so far of this is from sabrblooms.com. Check out her Digital Wealth Academy, which she offers for purchase in BOTH a two payment plan and a three payment plan. |

You don’t need more than 10 emails in an email sales funnel.
Despite some people saying that they want to make their email sequences longer, you really don’t actually need more than 10 emails in an email sales funnel. It’s just not best practice in the email marketing world.
We know tons of creators use Beacons email marketing to drive sales for their products—which is awesome. But I heard someone last week say they had a 35 email automation, and that makes me sad for someone's inbox.
Give your audience a chance to breathe and re-engage with you by making a new purchase or taking a different action to trigger a NEW automation sequence rather than continually bombarding people who might not be loving that.
What do you think—is this hot take on point or totally off base? |
A few weeks ago we ran a team contest to name this newsletter. We immediately got a lot of strong contenders. |
But ultimately Beacons Bryan won the contest after suggesting not only the winning name that we went with, but NINE others (???) Maybe he didn't have any plans that night! |
We went with this winning name because ultimately it reflects the most central value all of us at Beacons hold: we’re here to help creators make money. GRORT, as we will abbreviate it, is just the latest way we’re doing that. Reply to let us know what you think: did we pick the right name? |
Until next time—have a great Labor Day Weekend!
P.S. Set up your email automations so you can enjoy a LDW bev with your sales funnel on autopilot 😎 |
