Watt’s Up with Your 2026 Electricity Bill
Watt’s Up with Your 2026 Electricity Bill
Happy 2026! This month, your electricity bill will decrease by about six percent.
In March 2026, PG&E will implement the Base Service Charge, which is not a new charge to the PG&E portion of your bill, but a shift from volumetric charging to a flat fee each month.
Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) is only responsible for the electric generation portion of your bill (one-third of your total bill), which will see a 40% decrease. SVCE rate decisions are voted on by the SVCE Board of Directors.

According to Canary Media, clean energy is still on the rise in 2026! Despite a rocky road, it continues to score significant wins, thanks in part to electric vehicles. 96% of new U.S. power plants are carbon-free, and the world is investing more in clean energy over fossil fuels. For the first time ever, renewables are producing more power than coal worldwide.
Watt does that mean for you? Silicon Valley Clean Energy is leading the charge with clean, renewable and reliable energy projects throughout California and nearby states that connect to our electric grid. These projects help the community deliver on its commitment to clean energy that also brings jobs and economic benefits to the state.
