In just one month we’ll be celebrating 30 years of DoSomething and what better way than to highlight some of our biggest and brightest moments from the past three decades. From teaming up with celebrities like Shawn Mendes and Rihanna and activists like Aditi Mayer, and Alexis Williams (plus many more!), to sending Ramadan cards to every mosque in the U.S., and getting Apple to create inclusive emojis and plenty of other campaigns, we’ve accomplished A LOT together!
We’re super pumped to celebrate this milestone with you by launching something huge… 🥁
For 30 years, DoSomething members have taken the reins on big issues in their communities, some even going on to start their own nonprofits, run for office, become full-time activists, and more. To celebrate this incredible milestone of our 30th anniversary, we’re looking for the next wave of changemakers–Generation Future.
Are you passionate about changing the world and ready to make your “better world” vision board a reality? When you apply for Generation Future, you’ll have a chance to earn a $5,000 grant to support your efforts to challenge broken systems and forge a new path forward. We can’t wait to hear about what inspires you and how you could use the grant to support your vision of a better future. The best part? We’ll highlight your vision as one of our Generation Future honorees at our 30-year anniversary celebration in New York City this November! Let’s Do This! DoSomething |

Celebrating our birthday means celebrating 30 years of visionary young people. Who knows?! Maybe 30 years from now we’ll be highlighting your awesome accomplishments. There’s no stopping our members, and these blasts from the past shows that:
Meet Arina. After participating in DoSomething’s GTFO campaign, Arina realized how much of an issue littering really was becoming. To combat and help keep her community clean, Arina launched Sunny Isle Beach Cleanup–an eco army committed to keeping our beaches clean. In addition, she’s
advocating for her city to adopt a teen green club so that more of her peers can get involved with community service and building stronger communities. S/o to Arina!
Meet Mark. Mark, a current DoSomething member, is taking his actions up a notch! As an advocate for storytelling and mental health, Mark founded the Student World Impact Film Festival (SWIFF), the largest student-led festival in the world. The festival highlights the voices of other young people and invites students to share their passion for creating meaningful change in their community through filmmaking and creative expression. Can we get a round of applause for Mark?!
👏👏🏽👏🏿
DoSomething wouldn’t be what it is today if it wasn’t for the vision, action, and hard work of our members. |
