From October 15th to the 21st, this whole week is dedicated to road safety awareness for young drivers - say what?

Yup! And, we want to build a #ZeroCrashFuture by reducing distracted driving and its impact on drivers, passengers and pedestrians. According to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, “there was a 13% increase in passenger vehicle driver fatalities of 15- to 18-year-olds between 2012 and 2021.”

It may be a little scary to get on the road as a new licensed driver, and with so much to do throughout the day, many distractions can get in the way of keeping safe, while getting where you need to go. So, let DoSomething help you pay this knowledge forward, by giving you the tools to help your friends become safer drivers!

Sharing those guides and tips, now that’s a W!

Climate change does what?!... The American Psychological Association released a report showing how climate change is linked to life-long impacts on a young person’s mental health including issues like anxiety and depression. Yet another reminder that the impacts of climate change are very real even if we can’t always see them.

From their view...The violence between Israel and Gaza is truly devastating and it can be hard to understand how it’s impacting everyday people when reading the news. In a new piece from PBS News Hour, hear directly from young Israelis and young Palestinians about how this is impacting day-to-day life and their hope for peace. 

We are not ok… TIME released an eye-opening new mental health editorial featuring open and honest interviews of young people sharing the issues they have experienced and the difficulties of opening up to talk about it.
