Rejoice, First Amendment lovers, the Associated Press filed a lawsuit against Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt after Leavitt kicked them out of her briefing room for deadnaming the Gulf of America. Obviously, the notion a press secretary has a First Amendment obligation to personally bestow a private news organization with her presence is totally batshit insane, but it is yet another helpful example of the media midwit’s modern day conception of free speech: no, you and I do not have a right to insult strangers on the internet. But a small cabal of left-wing media outlets are not only allowed to ask Trump questions, but maintain the inalienable right to ask Trump questions. In person. In his actual home. It’s crazy, man, these people really do think they’re in charge of the country. And I strongly disagree! Until I get my own press badge that is (what’s good, Karoline? Hmu).

Gratefully, the Conservative Political Action Conference is over, and while the event culminated with Trump’s keynote, it was far from the highlight. Here’s what you missed: Elon wielding a golden chainsaw from Javier “Pump-and-Dump” Milei, some native guy wearing a MAGA headdress, some white guy in a $20 ICE costume talking about scaring illegals at Home Depot, some pundits shrieking over a blonde reporter’s “scandalous” outfit, Steve Bannon managing to look homeless in a Barbour jacket while doing his “roman salute,” some Mexican actor also doing the salute thing, and the leader of France’s right wing cancelling his speech over the “gesture.” At this point, I think we all get the theme. If I want a firehose of attention-seeking performative acts being done for optics purposes, I go to Twitch. Salute, wave, gesture, spontaneous deployment of social autism… whatever this thing is, it’s
staggeringly cringe and should stop. Just lead and govern, please.

After five years in primetime, MSNBC’s Joy Reid finally got the axe as part of the network’s long overdue recognition that not even its core demographic (aging, mentally ill cat moms) is comfortable being blood-libeled over their nightly glass of pinot. Of all the charlatans on cable news, Reid’s signature brand of scapegoating and grievance-mongering was perhaps the most toxic. But despite mediocre ratings for her constant tirades against “patriarchy,” “white women tears,” and “mayo sandwiches,” she was untouchable in our world after Floyd. Famously, Reid claims herself a product of affirmative action. But it’s 2025, and DEI is over. Or, the Overton Window is at least now wide enough to provide some cover in even the most assertively left-wing organizations in our country. Sure, the crazies will still be around. But merit-based hiring even in places ideologically opposed to the concept of merit?
I’m feeling something. Joy, I think.

It’s remarkable that buying Bitcoin below $100,000 is now viewed as “buying the dip,” and Arkham Intelligence is showing us exactly how Michael Saylor is doing it. Between February 18 and 23, 2025, MicroStrategy acquired 20,356 BTC for $1.99 billion, bringing its total to nearly 500,000 BTC, valued at over $47.5 billion. This purchase came when Bitcoin’s price dipped to around $95,000, below its January 20 all-time high of $108,786. Saylor has long advocated for accumulating Bitcoin during downturns, a strategy that has transformed MicroStrategy’s balance sheet since 2020. Arkham’s AI reveals the blockchain movements behind it.
