Prominent economists and analysts are worried about the impact of a “looming new trade war” triggered by Trump, which could cause a massive recession in Europe. Of course, there’s nothing looming about the war, which European bureaucrats have waged on US tech companies for years now. What’s looming is, finally, some kind of firm response from our government, rather than — insanely — the assistance of our own regulators in securing massive, grifty “fines” for what are meant to be our NATO “allies” as they unceremoniously loot our most valuable assets. Listen, our relationship with Europe has always been special. We protect their borders and trade routes, they give us… well, nothing actually. But it’s fun to vacation in France (beautiful nation, beautiful people). Americans were basically fine with this arrangement. Then, Europeans decided they were also going to treat our companies like their daddy’s piggy bank, and it was time to draw a line. Fuck
around, find out.

On the heels of Trump’s electoral victory, a growing number of American women are reportedly fleeing the United States in search of “a better life” in Europe. Cepee Tabibian, founder of an online community called She Hit Refresh, comprised of women over 30 seeking a move overseas, said many women “find that Europe offers a political climate that feels less charged, less divided, and generally more tolerant” than the States — especially, she says, for her community’s LGBTQ+ members. And while we may have been critical of Europe’s lax immigration laws in the past, we fully appreciate their tolerance in this case. Show us what not being xenophobic looks like, Germany — open your doors to all of our mid-life-crisis-stricken bisexual long Covid patients looking to reenact “Eat, Pray, Love” while pretending they’re persecuted refugees. But remember, when they start calling Italians bigots
after interpreting “Ciao, bella” as a misogynistic cat call, no givesies-backsies.

The FDA just unveiled an essential new initiative demonstrating their crucial role in protecting the American consumer: a recall of 80,000lbs of butter from Costco that didn’t print “Contains Milk” on the label. The agency mentioned the label is required as part of an “allergen warning,” and stated milk is one of the main foods that “account for most serious allergic reactions in the United States.” Unfortunately for the feds, the internet was quick to notice this bout of bureaucratic retardation — in which Americans are expected not to know that butter comes from milk — and demanded Trump “recall the FDA,” or at least find an alternate solution to trashing 80,000lbs of perfectly good food. Turns out RFK Jr. was right, these guys really are useless (when they’re not outright dangerous). I look forward to hearing his dry croak of “send them all to the gulag” during the televised DOGE
hearings. #MAHA.

Let’s say you’re a startup founder with dreams as ambitious as colonizing the moon. Then one day you notice Jerry from accounting has taken his third trip to Cancún this quarter. You try to formalize a Time Off Policy via Slack message, it gets buried underneath a mountain of spam, and now Jerry’s off to Cancún again, taking your workplace’s one Adobe password with him. You wouldn’t have this problem if you had Warp. They don’t just handle your startup’s payroll and compliance — Warp also doubles as your org’s one-stop-shop for Time Off, letting founders define their policy and letting employees log time off from directly within the platform. The buck stops here, Jerry.
