Yesterday, Trump was found guilty on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in his NY hush money trial stemming from a $130,000 payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels. Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen testified that he paid Daniels at Trump’s behest, and worked out a reimbursement arrangement with the Trump Organization. Which… honestly? Trump probably did it, and I’d be fine with the ruling if Biden and Hillary, who are also definitely criminals, were also convicted of their crimes. When accountability only works one way, you’re living in a one-party state, and that’s a premise we’re about to test. Because Trump probably isn’t going to jail for this. He’ll be stuck on house arrest for his campaign, max, and the country will be outraged to the polls. Provided that is still allowed? You idiots, you actual morons lmao, congrats on securing him a landslide victory.

New immigration data from Canada shows that the number of Canadians migrating to the US is up 70% from a decade ago. In an article from CBC, a Canadian-American realtor in South Florida says last year he’s received “fifty times” more calls from Canada than in the past decade, with most emigres citing politics as the reason for their move (Florida seems to be the hottest destination, as evidenced by 57,000 members in the “Canadians Moving to Florida & USA” Facebook group). I’m happy about this trend for a few reasons: refugees of socialism tend to become great American citizens, and sharp outflows of people and capital from Canada might force the Canadian government to address their cost of living and immigration crises. But if they don’t, and Canada keeps bleeding citizens? The country will be that much easier to annex. Have you ever seen Vancouver Island? Beautiful.

Roger Hallam, the British environmental activist (see: worst person to bring to a party) and co-founder of Just Stop Oil (soup on paintings assholes) predicted 12% of all people living in Phoenix, Arizona will die from the heat in the 2030s. Given Phoenix’s current population of something like 1.6 million, that’s more than 150,000 dead from the sun in a single city. Sounds insane — because, let’s be honest, it is — but keep in mind Phoenix is… already an inhospitable hell terrain where 650 people die every year from the scorching heat. Like, that’s what happens when you build a city in a desert. Which is not to sun shame the fine people of Arizona. I just think the global warming conversation is stupid. We need to be talking about terraforming earth, and actively cooling the climate, or seaflooding, or giant solar shields, or really anything besides incoherent doom-posting and destroying priceless works of art.
