Yesterday, in some insane Covid news, a memo out of the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic alleged Dr. David Morens, an NIH senior adviser working for Dr. Fauci, deleted records and attempted to evade FOIA requests on the topic of, among other things, gain-of-function research. This follows former Fauci aide Lawrence Tabak’s testimony last week in which, after more than four years of Fauci’s denial of the fact — including under oath! — Tabak admitted gain-of-function research occurred in Wuhan. Is it possible one of Fauci’s subordinates knew something he didn’t? I mean sure, anything’s possible. But probably what we’re looking at here is a little good old-fashioned perjury from a (formerly) high-ranking government official who oversaw one of the greatest erosions of institutional trust in American history. Rehabilitation of that trust begins with accountability. Tl;dr, our good doctor has some explaining to do,
preferably before a judge.

California wants to jail our engineers. |
Tuesday, California’s Senate voted overwhelmingly in favor of an “AI safety” bill that would force devs to comply with regulations from a state-run “Division of Frontier Models” — or potentially face jail time. Many are understandably upset about the (draconian, tech illiterate) fine print of the bill. But consider the potential upside: with the upper echelon of engineers and executives either imprisoned or exiled, tax revenue will implode, and politicians will be forced to cut their unchecked spending. The radical, regressive left, largely unemployed in this fascinating new world without fake, taxpayer-funded jobs, will be furious. Many will exit the state in protest (to Portland, I guess), and California will experience a demographic shift that finally makes possible a complete political reclamation of the state by the non-insane. From there: the freeing of our tech martyrs, and the inauguration of a golden age of innovation and
prosperity. CA/acc, baby.

Affair-seekers remain faithful to Ashley Madison |
According to a former executive, Ashley Madison — the dating site for married people seeking affairs — has reportedly doubled its membership since a massive 2015 hack that exposed millions of customers’ personal information and revealed as members a number of high-profile individuals, including Hunter Biden (duh) and Snooki’s husband (understandable). After the hack, which Netflix details in a new documentary, the dating site evidently spent tens of millions on improvements and has “probably the most robust security of any dating platform now,” according to the executive. Still, it does beg the question: why are so many people willing to take the risk after such a high-profile scandal? Well, society WAS close to having AI girlfriends instead, but SOMEBODY decided she has a monopoly on “pilates white girl” voice. Smh, actions have consequences, people.
