Sam Bankman-Fried just got 25 years in prison for fraud. Look, I know everyone is gonna hate this, but first of all I genuinely believe there’s a chance SBF is stupid enough to not know he did crime. Then, more importantly, 25 years? That’s a lot of time. And the reason that’s a lot of time is we’re punishing him for an entire industry’s worth of crypto roulette shit that annoyed us back in 2021. Elizabeth Holmes, another scapegoat for a whole ass genre of person we just don’t like, only got 11 years, and she put lives at risk. The truth? SBF died for our sins, but you aren’t ready for that conversation.

News that San Francisco Judge Kay Tsenin has handed down a suspended sentence to Daniel Cauich, a homeless, mentally ill drug addict convicted of brutally stabbing a 94-year-old woman, has led to protests and death threats against the judge, who is now conducting court via webcam. Cauich had a long criminal record, including a murder charge that was dropped in 2019 because he hadn't been properly mirandized. Authorities have been well aware of his drug addiction and mental illness for years. If that libtard Ronald Reagan hadn't spent his entire governorship emptying the looney bins of schizophrenics and MKUltra victims – and making it nearly impossible to recommit them against their will – this guy would have been safely barred-out in a padded cell after the first stabbing. Don't blame the judge, blame the Gipper!

The feds are lending $1.5 billion to restart a nuclear power plant in Michigan, which is great news for anyone who likes cheap, reliable electricity, which is everyone in the world. It’s been a few years now since “legalize nuclear” became the safest controversial opinion the average tech bro was permitted to have, and I’m glad to see it’s finally worked its way into our policy. It doesn’t matter what the leftist baristas want you to think, at the scale of almost 8 billion humans, degrowth will result in global famine. We need more power — of every kind. Anyway listen, if you’re worried about radiation or something, I grew up down the street from a reactor in Michigan that literally once melted down. It was totally fine.
