Following decades of productivity-destroying economic policy, Canada has decided to further disincentivize entrepreneurship with a dramatic increase to the inclusion rate of capital gains. Naturally, as their few remaining productive citizens dwindle, the country has looked for other people to rob — like Americans. Henceforth, the Canadians are applying a 3% levy on American tech revenue. In response, U.S. lawmakers have threatened trade retaliation, and Canadians have clutched their pearls in confused horror. After all, similar acts of trade war from seven other countries, including the U.K. and France, have gone unnoticed. Here, Canada is partly correct: yes, real America is cucked beyond belief when it comes to economic self-interest. But it would be wrong to say that Canada is “a country.” Canada is a territory we allow to exist. They don’t get to make decisions like this. Petition for a Canadian beef tax, gentlemen. Middle-school students in Payson, Utah walked out of class Wednesday in an effort to expel furries from their campus. The students alleged that there were somewhere between 5 and 100 furries at the school, and that the animal impersonators had terrorized their classmates by barking, scratching, and biting at them. But while a school official admitted there had been some problems with “harassment,” it appears the harassment was actually directed toward the furries, and the protest itself stems from a schoolwide email from the administration asking students to refrain from bullying students “with ears on them.” I regret to inform you there was no furry reign of terror. It was made up by the “based” student protestors, because kids love lying. We should all keep that in mind the next time a culture war story involving 12-year-olds comes out. The kids aren’t alright, and they can’t be trusted.

The House bill that would require TikTok to divest from ByteDance saw its hopes for approval rise after being bundled into one massive, sweeping piece of legislation that included foreign aid for Israel and Ukraine. While any victory in the direction of “no longer tolerating the hostile foreign spy app” is something to be celebrated, it’s ridiculous that this is how our government works — a rat’s nest of pet projects and spending grabs hidden between various items that are actually vital to America’s national interest.
