Use Claude to find new leads to feed Close
You’ve heard of Claude, the hottest robot in business right now.
And if you’ve got a Claude account, a Close account, and 3 minutes, you can run a simple prompt to identify and research new leads and automatically create contacts in Close.
You can literally generate a call list in the time it takes you to microwave a HotPocket—and begin dialing down the list while the Pocket is still Hot. (I’m currently writing this newsletter hungry.)
First, in Claude, go to Settings and then “Connectors.” Find the Close connector by searching “Close.”
Boom. That’s it. You’ve connected Claude to Close via our MCP server.
(If you want to do more custom MCP server things in Close, check out this article—but I’ll keep it simple here.)
Once you connect Claude to Close, you can type plainspoken prompts into Claude and it will perform tasks in Close on your behalf.
So you might say to Claude:
I sell linen services to fine dining restaurants and I’m expanding into Chicago. Can you find the top 5 restaurants in Chicago and add them as leads in Close?
Then Claude just… does it.
What a time to be alive.
This is just one example of what Claude can take off your plate in Close. You can outsource all sorts of tedious and repetitive tasks using the Claude + Close connector:
Analyze call transcripts to try to find patterns in customer objections (e.g. “Analyze calls made in the last 90 days and find the 5 most common objections”)
Generate instant custom reports with graphics (e.g. “Create a pie chart of all calls made in Close, by disposition, in the last 30 days”)
Build an outreach strategy and create new workflows in Close (e.g. “Create a workflow in Close with a mix of steps optimized to target [my ICP] leads. The goal is to book a time to meet with key stakeholders at those organizations.”)
My dream is to one day live in a world where I never have to be bored to tears by data entry ever again. And this brings us one step closer, folks.
