Hey y’all,
Yesterday was Valentine’s Day, but we want to keep the love going by impacting the lives of those in our community. That’s why our Strength Through Service program is so important. The five campaigns that are a part of Strength Through Service will allow your actions to make a lasting impact long after you’ve dedicated your time and energy to making a difference!

“Coming from a family with a low-income social background in a country that lacks opportunity for those who want to grow, seeing my parent's example of being those who achieved more conditions than most of my relatives, made me learn the value of life and how uncertain it is. I believe I need to contribute to the community I live in, that's why I decided to participate in this campaign, to help not only people that don't have the same opportunities as I have today but to inspire some and make the world a more fair and better place, said DoSomething member Manuela S., 15.” DoSomething member Nathan R., 17 said, “I learned during the pandemic how difficult things could be for members of my own community. Emails would come every day from local organizations sharing food or other need requests. It made me realize how tenuously some families and individuals are living and we need to support one another. I partnered with my mom who works at a preschool and she put the basket and information in the teacher's lounge for a week. Teachers were very generous and we took these items to the Clintonville Beechwold Community Resource Center. We researched this center and found that it serves our community by offering sack lunches as well as a food pantry and has a good reputation for service in the community over 50 years.” “When I was little, my family used to live by a recycling center,” said DoSomething member Rebecca S, 17. “They would collect the cans they used and bring them there since they got paid for it. I was raised to do that, so recycling our cans and bottles was natural to me. Now, I’m aware that recycling can help our environment, and I want to live on a planet that is still healthy and well.”
