💩 What's the worst sales pitch you ever received? 🎃 Give me your sales horror stories! #sales #selling #b2bsales #salespeople
My internet provider called me to sell me an upgrade of my bandwidth - from 200MBit/sec (that is more than needed to run a full household during WFH with all devices on) to 500MBit/sec. And they explained to me that I then finally can have smooth video call and no probs with Netflix. That was the most made-up reason ever to upgrade. And the caller had just no idea what they were trying to sell. Shame on you "service-provider".
I worked with client i offered them $200 for 1 month trial on that they agree on $20 then after low budget low response.. at the end they want $15 back...
Worst Sales pitches are from Insurance companies mostly. or from banks asking to make credit cards. Sometimes, I get pissed of..

4yIn the early days of multiple energy providers, a guy knocked on my door and told me that the local electricity board had been overcharging people for their electricity and that he was working for a campaign to have them reduced. He was working for a provider/agent and wanted me to sign up to his company's service. I couldn't believe the tallies on the fella - just blatant lying to my face. I didn't have the head on me to get his details and make a complaint, I basically just told him not to darken my door. Only later did I wonder how many people he'd managed to con with his "pitch".
