LinkedIn’s Latest Investment in Creators

LinkedIn’s Latest Investment in Creators

My team has spent the past few months talking with hundreds of creators from around the globe about what we can do to help them be more successful on LinkedIn. What we heard is that building an audience, creating community, and being financially rewarded are some of the most important things to get right.

Building on the tools and resources we have available to creators, today we’re rolling out the LinkedIn Creator Accelerator Program and investing $25 million to help creators build their audience and amplify their voice. This 10-week, incubator-style program for up to 100 U.S.-based creators will give accepted participants coaching, a built-in creator network, opportunities to be featured on LinkedIn channels, and a $15,000 grant to help them share content, spark conversations, and build communities.

Creating content on LinkedIn is about creating opportunity, for yourselves and others: How can your words, videos and conversations make 774+ million professionals better at what they do or help them see the world in new ways?

*Anyone* who has a story to tell and is driving professional conversations about the world of work can be a creator on LinkedIn. If you’re someone who has the creativity, passion and commitment to build a meaningful community (and is based in the U.S.) -- we want you to apply.

Applications are open now through Tuesday, October 12. Check out more details on the Creator Accelerator Program and apply here.

We also want to make sure all creators have access to the tools and resources to be successful. We’re going to be hosting a series of events to help aspiring and emerging creators get an inside look at the best tools and tips for using LinkedIn, connect with other like-minded creators, and learn how to build their careers and connect to opportunity.

  • On Friday 9/17, our inaugural INFused event will bring together Black creators on LinkedIn, giving you the tools to connect, inspire, and engage your audiences. Learn more here
  • On 9/24, our Community Management team is hosting Top 5 Things Creators Need to Know, a LinkedIn Live show diving into how to amplify your voice and grow your community. You can sign up here
  • And later this month, we’ll kick off the Create Learning Week, packed with daily, live learning sessions about creating on LinkedIn: from building your presence to writing in the professional context to making the most of video on LinkedIn. It’s free to all LinkedIn members. Learn more here.

We can’t wait to see what you’ll create next. Stay tuned for more and be sure to follow the LinkedIn For Creators page for updates. I look forward to seeing your application!

Snapchat understands that supporting their "star" creators with ad-revenue is the key. Why isn't LinkedIn doing the same? 1,300 articles and counting here. No support at all. Without Ad-sharing and stripe integration what do you realistically expect Andrei? https://techcrunch.com/2022/02/14/snapchat-will-introduce-revenue-sharing-on-ads-in-creators-stories/ Posts and podcasts are not the answer, that's not what LinkedIn's real audience wants to see. Why is LinkedIn not customer-centric.

I clicked on "apply here" and was sent to a page for applicants in India. The article says "US based" a number of times so I'm a little confused. Is the link wrong, or did I miss something? Thanks for any help

When shall this program be launched globally? Or at least in the middle east?

Will there be an expansion of this program within the U.S.? I didn't see this until now and I would love to apply.
