Hey y’all! Hope you enjoyed some (much-needed, well-deserved) rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation over the lil’ holiday break.
Today is #GivingTuesday, and making a donation to a cause or org you care about is fantastic. There are also *plenty* of other ways to make an impact that don’t cost a dime, which is why DoSomething campaigns never require money (or a car, or help from an adult in your life). In fact, we think should be able to *earn* funds for doing good, which is why we offer scholarships for volunteering...no GPA, essay, or recommendation required. Ever.
So read on! You’ll learn how DoSomething members are giving their time and energy, and how you can earn something for yourself as well.

This #GivingTuesday, The DoSomething Community Is Giving Back...Without Spending a Dime Today isn’t just about money. DoSomething members are giving health and advice, compassion and perspective.
Generous folks worldwide will be donating to causes they care about today. You can give back to your community too, with your time, energy, and action. Here’s how:
Make a DIY face mask to keep yourself and others healthy. With COVID-19 surging, mask-wearing is literally life-saving. Use our step-by-step guides (no sewing required!) to add to the 37,360 masks members like you have already made. Share advice on how you manage stress. Through our Let’s Stress Less campaign, DoSomething members are sharing advice to add to our national mental health guide that’s for students, by students. Submit your tip today!
Start a courageous conversation about anti-racism. One powerful way to fight for racial justice is to talk about it with friends and family. Through our Disrupt Racism campaign, our community has used our guides to begin 47,540 conversations, and you can too.
It doesn’t take research to know that our country feels super divided right now. The good news is, *you* have the power to help unite your friends and community around common goals we can all achieve together. New year, new us!
DoSomething members like Krish (15), Ornella (16), and Pranjal (16) have already started by making resolutions for how to build inclusivity and collaboration next year. Learn how you can join them!
This week in Pets of DoSomething… some extremely cute (and COVID-safe!) friends from members Anastasia, Madeline, and Jana.

More Amazing Impact From the DoSomething Community!
We asked you to brag about the amazing stuff you’re doing, and you did not disappoint. Here are some of our favorite answers from the DoSomething community. (Psst...submit yours here!)
“I was able to start purchasing Hometown Hero banners for my town. No one wanted to put the effort into starting these banners. Many veterans and their families were ecstatic to receive a banner for themselves or their loved ones. We were able to raise money for and purchase 69 banners in this first year, and we already have almost another 30 for next year to be put up!”
- DoSomething member Courtney, 17, New York
“I am fostering a service dog in training.”
- DoSomething member Jada, 16, Iowa
“Through my Peer Assistance Leadership (PAL) class at school, we collected change to adopt a family for the holidays. We raised enough money to provide gifts for 4 children and teens in families that could not afford them.”
